JDDS Working Meetings within the project ‘Joint environmental monitoring, assessment and exchange of information for integrated management of the Danube delta region’
Two Working Meetings on the organization of the Joint Danube Delta Survey (JDDS) within the ENVSEC project "Joint environmental monitoring, assessment and exchange of information for integrated management of the Danube delta region" were held on 7-8 July 2011 in Izmail (Ukraine) and on 28-29 July 2011 in Chisinau (Moldova).
Scientists from Ukraine, Romania and Moldova were involved into the JDDS preparation during the meetings. The following key activities were discussed:
- The Work Plan
- The Draft Monitoring Program
- The JDDS logistics and the Draft Cruise Manual
- Development of the JDDS Report
- Further steps towards the JDDS preparation and implementation
As a result the approaches and methods for sampling and analysis were agreed and the term of the Joint Danube Delta Survey was fixed on 26 September – 5 October 2011.
